Listen" to your child's misbehavior

Have you ever stop to consider what's your child trying to communicate to you through his/her misbehaviour?  Your child sometimes experience difficulties, like most of us, in making sense of and expressing his/her emotional needs.

Below is a simple yet rewarding strategy that you can implement to enable you and your child remain happy.

Parents' Tips:

Make an effort to have what is called 'Special Time' with each child on  a regularly basis.  Special Time is  simply, time spend with individual child where your child is allowed to talk about what's on his/her mind.  It is recommended that you spend at least 15 minutes per day for younger children and one hour twice a week for older children.

This time spent with your child helps to commuicate that he/she is important and likeable for himself/herself.  This makes your child feels good, hence, build his/her self esteem and enhances the parent/child relationship.

Have fun with your child and remember to share your experience by leaving a comment on this site.
